Recently, I heard a speaker who was positively amazing. He spoke on something about which I had little prior knowledge, but something about which has impacted my life. He spoke of his experience because of the Holy Spirit.
I admit, at first I was doubtful. I mean, come on . . . speaking in tongues? Getting given gifts with nothing attached? How could this be possible?
However, my skepticism quickly vanished as I opened my heart to what God was so desperately trying to communicate, as a result of I am a company believe that if you have the heart for something, you will definitely indeed see it. Through the power within the Holy Spirit, we demand to learn to harvest our natural ability. All of us have been given special talents, by God, and it is our duty (to Him and to mankind) to use these gifts to glorify His name and His kingdom here on earth. Of course, some of us may be under the misconception that we have nothing to offer- this is not true. Just about every person has a talent, a gift, whether it be performing with children, singing in the choir, making consumers smile, selling Mary Kay solutions, writing books. It will need to be the desire of our heart to capitalize on this gift, so it should bring honor to God.
The Power of this Spirit gives us the power to witness. We are all for being witnesses for Christ. The spirit allows this to be possible. We desire to continually be sewing seeds- bringing folks to church, telling them a story of how God has worked in our lives, praying for those for whom we don't even want to pray!
We require to be empowered by His presence. Sometimes it can not feel like it, but God is often with us. We need to have to incorporate God into everything into our lives. It is usually important to remember that if we want to go for a walk, God wants to go, too; if we want to skip rocks, God wants to skip rocks, too. He wants to have a personal relationship with each and every and each one of us. We are His children, and He loves spending time with us. So, we need to have to invite Him to do so.
For through two years, things seemed to become going quite well. Our children were growing; Scott and I both had jobs. With our combined incomes, we were able to modestly furnish our residence, purchase another used (but reliable) vehicle, and with each other he and I began making plans for that future. That was until he began abusing prescription medication.
After starting a fire in our garage that would have been fatal if not I had been awoken to put it out, and after staying up through the night watching pornographic movies, I finally had had enough of Scott's assorted behavior. I made a decision to ask him to leave. It was apparent to me
